Sweet Chili Chicken Wraps

Ingredients

– 2 large flour tortillas (or wraps)
– 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 500g)
– 1 cup lettuce (shredded, such as romaine or iceberg)
– 1 bell pepper (any color, sliced thinly)
– 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
– 1 tablespoon olive oil
– Salt and pepper to taste
– Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Prepare the chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink in the center. Remove from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it into thin strips.
2. Prepare the vegetables: While the chicken is cooking, wash and slice the bell pepper into thin strips. Shred the lettuce and set aside.
3. Assemble the wraps: Lay the flour tortillas flat on a clean surface. Start by placing a generous amount of shredded lettuce in the center of each tortilla. Next, add the sliced bell peppers and then the grilled chicken strips on top.
4. Drizzle with sauce: Pour a tablespoon of sweet chili sauce over the chicken and vegetables in each wrap, adjusting the amount to your taste.
5. Wrap it up: Fold in the sides of the tortilla and then roll it up tightly from the bottom to the top, enclosing the filling. If desired, you can cut the wrap in half to showcase the colorful layers inside.
6. Serve: Place the wraps on a plate and sprinkle with sesame seeds for garnish. Enjoy your Sweet Chili Chicken Wraps fresh, or wrap them in foil for a portable meal.
