  • 2 tbspsoy sauce
  • 1 tbspolive oil
  • 2garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsppineapple juice
  • 1/2 tspsmoked paprika
  • 1/4 tspblack pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the skewers:If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 20–30 minutes to help prevent burning. Cut the sausage, pineapple, peppers, and onion into evenly sized pieces.
  2. Make the glaze:In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, pineapple juice, smoked paprika, and black pepper until combined.
  3. Assemble the skewers:Thread the sausage, pineapple, bell peppers, and red onion onto the skewers, alternating the ingredients for a colorful presentation.
  4. Brush with glaze:Arrange the skewers on a lightly greased baking sheet or grill tray. Brush generously with the honey garlic glaze, reserving a little for later.
  5. Cook until caramelized:For the oven, bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15–20 minutes, turning halfway through. For a grill, cook over medium heat for about 10–15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the vegetables soften and the glaze caramelizes.
  6. Add the finishing glaze:Brush the skewers with the reserved glaze during the final few minutes of cooking. Avoid applying any glaze that has been contaminated by raw ingredients.
  7. Serve and enjoy:Let the skewers rest briefly, then serve warm with rice, grilled vegetables, or a fresh salad.
