1. Blend the peaches, strawberries, and 1 cup water until smooth. Strain if desired.
2. In a small saucepan, heat ½ cup water and ½ cup sugar until the sugar dissolves. Let cool.
3. In a large pitcher, combine the fruit puree, simple syrup, 1½ cups fresh lemon juice, and 6–8 cups cold water. Stir well.
4. Taste and adjust the sweetness or lemon juice if needed.
5. Chill for 30 minutes.
6. Serve over ice and garnish with chopped strawberries, if desired.
