  • 1 tbspolive oil
  • 1 tsppaprika
  • 1/2 tspgarlic powder
  • 1/2 tspblack pepper
  • 1/2 tspsalt

For the Hot Honey Butter Sauce

  • 4 tbspunsalted butter
  • 1/4 cuphoney
  • 3garlic cloves, minced
  • 1–2tsp hot sauce
  • 1/2 tspred pepper flakes
  • 1 tbspfresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tspsmoked paprika, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven:Heat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Season the salmon:Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Rub them with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Arrange the fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Make the hot honey butter:Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in the honey, hot sauce, red pepper flakes, lemon juice, and smoked paprika if using. Simmer gently for 1–2 minutes.
  4. Glaze the salmon:Spoon about half of the hot honey butter sauce over the salmon fillets, spreading it evenly across the tops.
  5. Bake until tender:Bake for 12–15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets, until the salmon flakes easily and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) at the thickest part.
  6. Add the finishing glaze:Remove the salmon from the oven and drizzle the remaining hot honey butter sauce over the fillets. For a more caramelized finish, broil for 1–2 minutes, watching closely to prevent the honey from burning.
  7. Garnish and serve:Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges. Pair with roasted potatoes, steamed rice, asparagus, or a crisp green salad.
