Homemade-Peach-Ice Cream

Ingredients

For the Ice Cream Base:
• 2 cups heavy whipping cream
• 1 cup whole milk
• ¾ cup granulated sugar
• 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

For the Peach Mixture:
• 2 large ripe peaches, peeled and chopped
• ¼ cup granulated sugar
• 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

1. Prepare the Peach Mixture:
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the chopped peaches, ¼ cup sugar, and lemon juice. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the peaches break down and become syrupy.
Mash the mixture slightly for a chunky texture, or blend for a smoother purée. Let the mixture cool completely.
2. Make the Ice Cream Base:
In a large bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, ¾ cup sugar, and vanilla extract until the sugar dissolves.
3. Combine:
Stir the cooled peach mixture into the ice cream base until well combined.
4. Churn the Ice Cream:
Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions (usually 20-25 minutes) until thick and creamy.
5. Freeze:
Transfer the churned ice cream to a freezer-safe container, cover, and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
6. Serve:
Scoop into bowls or cones and garnish with fresh peach slices if desired. Enjoy this luscious homemade ice cream!
