- 2boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4slices bacon, cooked until crispy
- 4slices cheddar or provolone cheese
- 4sandwich rolls or brioche buns
- 1/4 cupranch dressing
- 1 tbspolive oil
- 1 tspgarlic powder
- 1 tsppaprika
- 1/2 tsponion powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 4lettuce leaves
- 1tomato, sliced
- 1/2red onion, thinly sliced, optional
- 1 tbspbutter, for toasting the rolls
- Season the chicken:Slice the chicken breasts horizontally if needed to make thinner cutlets. Season both sides with garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Cook the chicken:Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken for 5–7 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until golden and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Add the cheese:Place a slice of cheese over each chicken cutlet during the final minute of cooking. Cover the skillet briefly to help the cheese melt.
- Toast the rolls:Spread butter on the cut sides of the sandwich rolls. Toast them in a skillet or under the broiler until lightly golden.
- Assemble the sandwiches:Spread ranch dressing over the bottom half of each roll. Add lettuce, the cheesy chicken, crispy bacon, tomato slices, and red onion if desired.
- Finish and serve:Drizzle with a little extra ranch dressing, cover with the top half of the roll, and serve immediately with fries, potato wedges, or a fresh salad.
