  • ½ cup(60 g) chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • 1 tablespoonlemon juice

Instructions

Prepare the Apples

  • Wash and dry the apples thoroughly.
  • Remove the cores and cut the apples into small, bite-sized pieces.
  • Toss the apple pieces with lemon juice to help prevent browning.
  • Set aside while preparing the creamy dressing.

Make the Creamy Dressing

  • Place the softened cream cheese in a large mixing bowl.
  • Beat with an electric mixer until smooth and fluffy.
  • Add the sugar and vanilla extract, then beat until fully combined.
  • Gently fold in the whipped topping until the mixture is light and creamy.

Add the Caramel

  • Pour the caramel sauce into the cream cheese mixture.
  • Gently fold until the caramel is distributed throughout, creating a creamy caramel-flavored dressing.

Combine Everything

  • Add the chopped apples to the bowl.
  • Fold gently until all the apple pieces are coated.
  • Stir in the toffee bits and chopped pecans, reserving a little for garnish.

Chill and Serve

  • Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
  • Just before serving, sprinkle the remaining toffee bits and nuts over the top.
  • Drizzle with extra caramel sauce and serve chilled.
