 Ingredients

  • 10 fresh jalapeños (halved and deseeded)

  • 200g (7 oz) cream cheese

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • 1 cup flour

  • 2 eggs, beaten

  • 1 ½ cups breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)

  • Oil, for frying (or spray if baking/air frying)

 How to Make It

  1. Prep the Jalapeños
    Cut jalapeños in half lengthwise and scoop out seeds and membranes.

  2. Make the Filling
    Mix cream cheese, shredded cheese, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and any extras.

  3. Fill the Jalapeños
    Stuff each half with the cheese mixture.

  4. Coat the Poppers
    Dip each popper in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs. Repeat for extra crunch.

  5. Cook

  • Fry: Heat oil and fry poppers until golden and crisp (2–3 mins each side).

  • Bake: Bake at 200°C (400°F) for 20–25 mins.

  • Air Fry: 190°C (375°F) for 10–12 mins, flipping halfway.

 Storage & Reheating Instructions

Storage:
Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

Reheating:
Reheat in the oven or air fryer at 180°C (350°F) for 5–8 mins to keep them crispy. Avoid microwaving to prevent sogginess.
